The Dixie National Forest, Southwest Wildlife Foundation and Garth and Jerri Frehner Museum of Natural History at Southern Utah University with funding from National Geographic have partnered to host the first Cedar City BioBlitz at Cedar Canyon Nature Park August 26-27th.
The annual Bryce Canyon Fly-in and Car Show this Saturday has sparked many pilots’ interest. One, Todd McCutchan, started piloting at age 12 and says he was born to fly.
Partners in the Parks, a national program that began at Southern Utah University, celebrated 10 years of student involvement and service with the National Park Service.
Through a collaborative partnership between Southern Utah University and the Frontier Homestead State Park (FHSP), a new Native Heritage Exhibit has been added to the museum.
Southern Utah University will participate in the National Park Service Centennial on August 25 with an institutional wide effort, SUU Day in the Parks. The entire SUU community of students, faculty, and staff are invited to spend the centennial exploring the amazing parks and recreational areas surrounding campus.
National Parks are an American idea and nationwide, on August 25, 2016, the National Park Service (NPS) Centennial is being celebrated. Bryce Canyon National Park commemorates the day by hosting a grand re-opening of the newly remodeled Visitor Center museum, followed by a film premiere, “Bryce Canyon Memories.”
